Mount-O-Matic mounting and proofing equipment

A complete line of mounting and proofing machines for almost every type of flexographic printing application, varying from flexo labels 250 mm to pre-print 3200 mm and larger.

The principle for all these machines is the same, namely positioning of printing forms by means of 2 cross marks or microdots etc., that are perpendicular to the making direction of the web. By means of 2 cameras, that are exactly parallel to the shaft of the cylinder, the marks are being shown on a split screen monitor. Each camera registers half an image on the left and on the right, so that on the left half of the monitor, half a cross mark from the left-hand side is shown, whereas on the right side, the right side of the right cross mark is visible. The two halves then make one complete cross mark, meaning that the plate is mounted perfectly horizontal.

By using our patented computer system, we can reduce the most complicated mountings of several printing on one cylinder to a simple methodology. By positioning both cameras width-ways and by turning the plate cylinder in any division desired, both staggered and straight mounting can be done very simple.

This high-technology has been 'packed' in a very solidly built machine and guarantees, even at the largest cylinder length, the best results close to perfection!

The AV-Matic 800 Plus consists of:

a high output UV exposure unit with an exposure frame opening horizontally for the simultaneous back and face exposure, therefore no need to turn the plate.

totally enclosed oscillating wash out unit with automatic setting of the brush pressure; the exposed plate is placed in the washout unit by means of an automatically opening clip (a sensor measures the length of the plate); after washing out, the plate is automatically rinsed with clean solvent and then dried and cleaned by the unique plate drying system assisted by vacuum, before being transported to the hot air dryer;
the wash out unit is provided with a unique carbon filter system; consequently connection to an external air exhaust is not necessary;

unique transport system (automatic pneumatic clamp system, so that perforating or punching the plate in advance is not necessory), which collects the plate automatically and transports it to the dryer;

inspection possibility before post-drying;

vertical hot air dryer with a capacity of 8 plates with permanent filter system; the plate is then automatically put into the reversing device (revolving door);

automatic advance of the plate for finishing (de-tack) and post-exposure;

"touch-screen" control with incorporated several verification functions.

Perfect printing plates in the shortest possible time; as well as plates of various gauges can be produced alternately!
